The army painter and skirmish matches are the same for all games, except in newer expansions you obviosuly have more skirmish maps, and more factions to use in skirmish & edit in the army painter. The ideal would be to buy them all, but since you're reading this post that's not gonna happen. There's no best or worst game to pick since all have their advantages and disadvantages.
